COACH EDUCATION

NMYSA partners with SoccerSpecfic.com. New Mexico Youth Soccer Association is offering FREE subscriptions to all of their coaches to the #1-rated coaches online soccer resource, SoccerSpecific.com. SoccerSpecific.com contains the most advanced coaching software available. NMYSA and SoccerSpecific.com have forged a partnership with an agreement that coaches can receive a subscription AT NO CHARGE. See the News & Notes page of the NMYSA web site for all the details. The current NMYSA agreement with SoccerSpecific.com runs through 31 July 2007.

REFEREE EDUCATION

There will be a Grade 9 soccer referee certification Saturday August 16 8:30am-4pm at Santa Fe Prep. This will allow you to referee games at the Downs this fall for $20 game. Please let Mike Landen know if you plan to take the certification and he will provide you with an update about the course when we get closer to the dates. If you are 12 years of age and older, you can take the certification.

CAMPS, CLINICS, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Veraneo de Fútbol Soccer Camps 16-20 June 2008:
Location: [CHANGED] Ashbaugh Park, Cerrillos and Third Street (Our area will be towards the back side of the park. It will have plenty of shade available. Please be careful as you enter and exit the park.  Parking is available in the back.). If your child (7 to 13 years old) is interested in attending camp, please do the following:

  1. Complete the Veraneo 2008 Registration Form.
  2. Check or Money Order made out to Gregory Rusk for $100 ($125 if postmarked after June 10).
  3. Send the completed form and payment to NORTHERN SOCCER CLUB, Attn: Gregory Rusk, 2213 Brothers Road, Suite 100, Santa Fe, NM 87505.
  4. Print the Veraneo 2008 Niños Cover as a reminder (post it on your refrigerator).
  5. On day of camp, child should bring ball, shin guards, water, and sunscreen.

Crunchtime Santa Fe Boys Soccer Camp 5-8 Aug 2008 (9-11:30 AM):
Location: [CHANGED] Ashbaugh Park, Cerrillos and Third Street. Dr. Bill Hayward from Texas will be leading the training. If your boy entering 7th-12th grade is interested in attending camp, please do the following:

  1. Print out the Crunchtime SF 2008 brochure.
  2. Complete the Application & Waiver portion.
  3. Check or Money Order made out to Gregory Rusk for $60.
  4. Send the completed form and payment to NORTHERN SOCCER CLUB, Attn: Gregory Rusk, 2213 Brothers Road, Suite 100, Santa Fe, NM 87505.
  5. On day of camp, child should bring #5 ball, shin guards, water (1/2 gallon minimum), sunscreen and appropriate footwear for field and hard surfaces (cleats and flats).
  6. Check-in begins at 8:40AM on Tues 5 Aug.

This is a high intensity camp, please make sure to bring sufficient water.
